At Allegheny WoodWorks we source most of our wood from the mid-Atlantic region, but we are always interested in hearing from any possible suppliers.

Our primary interest is in Antique Oak, Chestnut and Heart Pine. We always give consideration to other species, if they possess unique characteristics.

BARN WOOD

(BEAMS & FRAMING)

We purchase a great deal of barn wood, which typically includes various structural members (beams & framing) as well as the board materials yielded by these structures (decking, sheathing and siding).

LARGE BEAMS

Another primary source of materials for our products comes in the form of large beams retrieved from old factories and other early industrial buildings.

INSPECTION

IS REQUIRED

In both cases, we require that the materials be of consistent quality, de-nailed, culled for unusable pieces and free of any chemical or oil contamination.
