ABOUT

ALLEGHENY WOODWORKS

Allegheny WoodWorks began as an in-house supplier of antique lumber for John Bell Company, a leader in residential construction in the Greenbrier Valley of West Virginia since 1973. John Wade Bell III and his team have built luxury homes at The Greenbrier and throughout southern West Virginia, as well as performing restoration on many historically significant structures.

Company founder John Bell III has a passion for quality and authenticity in any project he undertakes. That passion led him to seek out vintage lumber from structures that were abandoned or destined for demolition and craft it into flooring, cabinetry and trim for discriminating clients.

Investing in equipment and manpower to re-mill and treat the lumber, John Bell Company eventually began to produce more inventory than needed for its own projects.

Knowing that there was a growing demand for re-milled lumber for homes at The Greenbrier Sporting Club and other premiere communities in the Allegheny region, in 2006 John Bell Company spun off Allegheny WoodWorks as a separate entity with John Wade Bell IV at the helm.
